Raid from Delhi to Jharkhand: Suspected ISIS Terrorist Arrested in Ranchi, Multiple Raids Conducted Across the Country
In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Special Cell of Delhi Police, in coordination with the Jharkhand Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Ranchi Police, successfully arrested a wanted ISIS suspected terrorist, Azhar Danish, from the Islamnagar area of Ranchi. This operation is part of an extensive nationwide crackdown, with coordinated raids being conducted at 12 different locations across the country.
According to Delhi Police sources, Azhar Danish was a key figure under investigation for his involvement in terrorist activities. A case had already been registered against him in Delhi, following which the Special Cell of Delhi Police had been actively tracking his movements. After his arrest, Danish is currently being interrogated to gather critical intelligence about his associates and planned operations.
In addition to Danish, another suspected terrorist has also been apprehended during joint raids conducted by the Delhi Police Special Cell and central intelligence agencies. So far, approximately eight individuals suspected of having links with terrorist activities have been arrested, and all are undergoing questioning. Authorities believe these individuals were preparing for a major terrorist strike, which could have targeted multiple cities.
The Delhi Police Special Cell has described this operation as a significant blow to the ISIS network operating in India. During the course of the operation, another terrorist identified as Aftab, a resident of Mumbai, was arrested from Delhi. Danish, also known by the alias Azhar, was apprehended from Ranchi, while simultaneous raids continue at multiple locations to dismantle the remaining network.
Officials have confirmed that the arrested suspects were part of a well-coordinated plan to carry out large-scale terrorist attacks. The ongoing nationwide raids demonstrate the level of coordination between Delhi Police, Jharkhand ATS, and other central agencies to prevent potential threats and maintain national security.
The Delhi Police Special Cell has stated that these actions reflect their commitment to proactively monitoring and neutralizing terrorist networks operating in different parts of the country. With continued interrogation and intelligence gathering, authorities hope to uncover further connections and thwart future attacks before they can be executed.
