Through this recruitment process, the bank aims to fill a total of 600 Apprentice vacancies across various states and union territories in India. As per the notification, the online application process for Bank of Maharashtra Apprentice Recruitment has commenced from January 15, 2026, on the bank’s official website. The 600 Apprentice posts are distributed across different states and union territories. Maharashtra has the highest number of vacancies, followed by Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and other regions. Candidates can apply only for the state or union territory for which they fulfill the local language requirement.
Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Apprentice post, candidates must possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a university or institution recognized by the Government of India. Additionally, applicants should have knowledge of the local language of the state or union territory they are applying for. This requirement must be supported by a Class 10 or Class 12 mark sheet as proof of having studied the local language.
Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2026: Age Limit
The minimum age required to apply is 20 years, while the maximum age limit is 28 years, calculated as on November 30, 2025. Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and others, as per government norms.
Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2026: Application Fee
The application fee for the Apprentice recruitment varies by category. Candidates belonging to the General (UR), EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay ₹150 (including GST). For SC and ST candidates, the fee is ₹100 (including GST). Persons with Disabilities (PWD) are exempted from paying any application fee.
Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2026: Stipend and Training Details
Candidates selected as Apprentices in the Bank of Maharashtra will receive a fixed monthly stipend of ₹12,300 during the training period. The apprenticeship training will be conducted for one year, in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961, and the bank’s internal guidelines.
The training schedule will generally be from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as decided by the bank. Apprentices will not be entitled to any additional allowances, benefits, or perks apart from the stipulated stipend. It is also important to note that completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment with the Bank of Maharashtra after the training period ends.
