The CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC), Chennai, has announced a recruitment drive for 30 Scientist positions in 2025. A total of 30 Scientist positions are available, distributed as follows:
- General (UR): 12
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 8
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 4
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 3
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 3
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must possess an M.Tech or M.E. degree in Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
Additional knowledge in specific subjects according to the post, such as Applied Mechanics, Ocean Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc., is required. Candidates with research experience, projects, or publications will have an added advantage.
Age Limit:
- General (UR) & EWS: Maximum 32 years
- OBC: Maximum 35 years (3-year relaxation)
- SC/ST: Maximum 37 years
Age relaxation is applicable only upon submission of valid category certificates.
Selection Process:
- Screening: Applications will be reviewed based on educational qualifications and experience. Only eligible candidates will move to the next stage.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview to assess their knowledge, skills, and understanding of the subject.
- Final Selection: Selection will be based on performance in the interview and overall profile. Appointment letters will be issued to selected candidates.
