Indian Citizen Shot Dead in Jordan

Security personnel in Jordan have fatally shot an Indian citizen who was allegedly attempting to cross into another country. According to sources in the Ministry of External Affairs, the tragic incident took place on Sunday. The Indian Embassy in Jordan has confirmed the death and expressed condolences to the victim’s family. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the embassy said, “We have received news of the unfortunate demise of an Indian citizen. We are in close contact with the deceased’s family and are working with Jordanian authorities to facilitate the repatriation of the body.” Officials have assured full support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

Bolivia Bus Accident Claims 37 Lives, Injures 39

A horrific bus accident in Bolivia’s Potosí region on Saturday morning (local time) has resulted in the deaths of at least 37 people and left 39 others injured. The accident occurred on the Uyuni-Colchani route when one of the buses veered into the opposite lane, leading to a deadly collision. According to a spokesperson from the Departmental Police Command of Potosí, the injured have been transported to four hospitals in Uyuni for medical treatment.

Authorities suspect that one of the surviving drivers may have been intoxicated before the crash, as passengers reported seeing him consuming alcohol. The bus was en route to Oruro, where a large carnival festival was taking place. Law enforcement officials are currently identifying the victims and investigating the exact cause of the accident.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Neutralize 25 Terrorists, Arrest 350 in February

The Israeli military reported on Sunday that its security forces killed approximately 25 terrorists and apprehended 350 wanted individuals in February. As part of counter-terrorism operations in Judea and Samaria, the IDF has seized 120 weapons and destroyed hundreds of explosives.

Operations have primarily focused on northern Samaria and other strategic areas to dismantle Palestinian militant networks. A large-scale counter-terrorism raid began on January 19 in the Jenin refugee camp and later extended to Tulkarem and the Five Villages area. These operations were launched due to the Palestinian Authority’s failure to address terrorist activities in Jenin. Since then, over 200 suspects have been arrested, 71 individuals deemed security threats have been eliminated, and more than 300 weapons and explosives have been confiscated.

Since the Hamas attack on October 7, Israeli forces have detained approximately 6,000 wanted Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, with around 40% linked to Hamas.

Pakistan: Gunmen Kill Six in Punjab Province

A tragic shooting incident in Pakistan’s Punjab province has left six people dead after unidentified gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on a vehicle. The attack occurred in Miana Chak Dinga town in Gujrat province, as reported by Geo News.

According to local police, the assailants fled after killing the victims, who were aged between 26 and 35 years. Preliminary investigations suggest that the attack may have been motivated by personal enmity. A large-scale search operation has been launched to apprehend the perpetrators. Meanwhile, the Punjab Police Inspector General has taken note of the incident and has requested a detailed report from regional authorities.
