US Begins Deportation of Illegal Indian Immigrants; Military Aircraft Dispatched to India
The United States has initiated the deportation of illegal Indian immigrants following the directives of former President Donald Trump. A U.S. Army C-17 aircraft has departed for India carrying Indian nationals who were residing in the country without legal authorization. Until now, the U.S. primarily focused on deporting illegal immigrants from South American nations, but the latest action signals an expansion of enforcement to include individuals from India as well.
Escalation of Deportations Under Trump’s Directive
Following Donald Trump’s order to intensify deportations, a significant number of undocumented immigrants are being sent back to their home countries. Reports indicate that the U.S. government has now begun deporting Indians who have been living in the country without proper documentation. According to official sources, a C-17 military aircraft has already taken off for India with deported Indian nationals on board. Previously, deportation efforts were mainly concentrated on illegal immigrants from South American countries, but authorities have now extended their operations to include Indian nationals.
18,000 Illegal Immigrants Identified
The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) has revealed that military aircraft will soon transport over 5,000 illegal immigrants from cities such as El Paso, Texas, and San Diego, California. When Donald Trump won the presidential election, he pledged to deport approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants from the country. Just last week, the U.S. Army conducted six deportation flights to Latin American countries. However, Colombia initially refused to permit U.S. planes to land on its soil, prompting Trump to take a stricter stance. In response, Colombia arranged its own flights to repatriate its citizens. Reports further suggest that U.S. authorities have identified around 18,000 Indian nationals who are residing illegally in the country and are now subject to deportation.
Use of Military Resources for Immigration Crackdown
Donald Trump has increasingly utilized military resources to enforce stricter immigration laws. The U.S. Army has been deployed along the Mexican border to prevent illegal crossings, while military bases are being used as temporary detention centers for undocumented immigrants. Additionally, military aircraft are being used for large-scale deportation operations, despite concerns that such measures are significantly costlier than using commercial airlines.
Apart from cracking down on illegal immigration, Trump has also imposed trade tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China and has issued warnings of potential tariffs on European nations. His administration remains firm on its hardline immigration policies, signaling continued enforcement actions in the coming months.
