Donald Trump: Key Decisions He Will Make Immediately After Becoming President

As soon as Donald Trump takes the oath of office as the 47th President of the United States, he plans to implement significant decisions, focusing primarily on illegal immigration and border security.

An executive order is a directive issued by the President with the force of law, requiring no approval from Congress. However, such orders can be challenged in court.

Trump is expected to sign around 100 executive orders on his first day in office. These orders will likely address issues related to immigration, border security, energy, and governance, according to sources close to the President.

Immediate Actions on Immigration and Border Security

Trump’s team is eager to move forward with their agenda, which includes issuing orders that will bring major changes to immigration laws, energy policies, and government operations. Stephen Miller, who will assume the role of White House Deputy Chief of Staff, outlined several key initiatives. These include declaring an emergency on the southern border, deploying the military to reinforce border security, and designating human traffickers as ‘foreign terrorist organizations.’ Additionally, Trump plans to reinstate the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy, end the ‘catch and release’ policy, and declare an energy-related emergency.

Reversing Key Decisions from the Biden Administration

Trump’s executive actions will also reverse several policies enacted by outgoing President Joe Biden. These reversals include rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, lifting restrictions on fossil fuel production, and expanding domestic oil drilling. Other actions will focus on opening up Arctic drilling and speeding up the approval and construction of pipelines, alongside reforms to streamline government operations by removing certain federal employees.

Miller emphasized that Trump’s presidency will prioritize the safety and justice of American citizens, especially those affected by illegal immigration. “He (Trump) has always fought for all of us,” Miller said, referencing the ongoing efforts to combat criminal gangs and secure justice for families who have lost loved ones due to illegal immigration.
