When Will the UPSSSC PET 2026 Examination Be Conducted?
The UPSSSC PET 2026 examination is scheduled for October 25, October 30, and November 1, 2026. The examination will be organised in two shifts on each scheduled date, with examination centres spread across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Candidates must carefully check their assigned examination date and shift before making travel arrangements. Since the examination will be conducted across multiple districts, applicants should avoid assuming that their examination will take place in their home district or in the district they selected during registration.
The advance city intimation slip is intended to provide candidates with information about their examination district before the admit card becomes available. This allows applicants to plan transportation, accommodation, and other arrangements, particularly if their allotted district is far from their current place of residence.
Candidates should also keep checking the official website for any changes to the examination schedule, shift timings, or other important instructions.
UPSSSC PET 2026 City Slip Is Not the Admit Card
One of the most important points candidates need to understand is the difference between the city intimation slip and the admit card. The advance examination district information is issued to inform candidates about the district allocated for their examination. It should not be treated as a substitute for the official admit card.
The admit card is a separate and essential document required to appear for the examination. It generally contains important examination-related information, such as the examination centre’s complete address, reporting time, shift details, and instructions for candidates.
Candidates should wait for the official announcement regarding the UPSSSC PET 2026 admit card release date. The Commission is expected to provide the relevant information through its official website and notifications. Applicants should not rely on unverified social media posts or unofficial websites for information about the admit card.
Once the admit card becomes available, candidates should download it promptly and verify all the details printed on it. If any discrepancy is noticed, they should follow the official procedure for contacting the Commission or seeking clarification.

- Download the city slip: Check the allotted examination district as soon as you can access the information.
- Verify your details: Carefully review the information displayed on the portal and report any discrepancies through the official channels, where applicable.
- Check the examination date: Confirm your assigned examination date and shift instead of relying only on the general examination schedule.
- Wait for the admit card: Remember that the city intimation slip is not a valid replacement for the admit card.
- Check the centre address: Refer to the admit card for the complete examination centre address and other reporting instructions.
- Plan your journey in advance: If the examination centre is located outside your home district, make suitable travel arrangements beforehand.
- Follow examination rules: Read the official instructions carefully and carry the documents permitted by the Commission.

Following these instructions can help candidates avoid confusion and focus on their preparation as the examination dates approach.
What Should Candidates Do After Downloading the City Slip?
After downloading the UPSSSC PET 2026 city intimation slip, candidates should first confirm their allotted district and note their examination date and shift, wherever these details are available. They should then keep checking the official website for the admit card announcement.
Candidates are also advised to organise their examination documents in advance and familiarise themselves with the instructions applicable to their examination session. Those travelling to another district should estimate their travel time and make appropriate arrangements to reach the centre before the prescribed reporting time.
It is equally important to continue revising the syllabus and practising mock tests rather than focusing only on administrative updates. Proper time management, regular revision, and awareness of official examination instructions can help candidates approach the examination with greater confidence.
